The 2023 Ohio State African Violet Society (www.osavs.org) Annual Show and Sale was held September 15, 16, 2023 (at Kingwood Center Gardens (50 Trimble Rd., Mansfield, Ohio 44906) celebrating all things African Violets.
You are invited to SAVE THE DATE for the 2024 Show and Sale: Friday & Saturday, September 20 & 21. Exhibitors will set up on Thursday, September 19.
Dedicated growers will be on hand for horticultural consultation and educational programs will be offered over the two-day event.
The Commercial Vendor Sales area will be open 9 am to 5 pm on Friday (in the Carriage House) and 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday. This is a great opportunity to purchase plants, leaves and cuttings of hard-to-find and rare varieties of African Violets and Gesneriads and related growing supplies from nationally renowned vendors.
(Some of the previous Commercial Vendors have included: Black Oak Violets, Enchanted Gardens Plant Supplies, Fancy Bloomers, Lyndon Lyons Greenhouses, and Violet Barn.)
The Show will be open for viewing 1-5 pm on Friday and 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday. It is an African Violet Society of America (www.avsa.org) sanctioned competition featuring plants of cultural excellence from the Society’s members’ collections and unique plant designs. People from many areas of the country and Canada are members of OSAVS and attend and exhibit.
